I had to burn some photos to disc today so visited my media pen... and found some old TDK branded, but fairly premium 4x rated RICOHJPNR01.  All my old drives loved this media, so I threw it in the Liteon LH20A1S.  No overspeeding here... nice old 4x CLV.

You would have better results burning that media at 1x.

I'll have to find a PATA port so I can do a jitter scan with my Benq 1620

... I think I have a Plextor somewhere too

Yup, was good stuff to find back when all the Office stores carried brands that could have anything in the spindles. I think I had some that burned at 8x very nicely with my awesome NEC 2500, the first really good DVD burner I got besides maybe the Sony 500 that was my first one. I try to forget the LiteOn 811 though many here had great luck with theirs and Z made them even better, which gave us our start here...
I still have some really old blanks here and there I should dig out and see what they are and maybe do some burns.
